FAQ for Teatro Zinzanni shows

FAQ:

- Is there a dress code? As with most Burning Man-inspired events, festive dress is invited and appreciated, but not required.  The TZ spiegeltent is a baroque environment, and you are welcome and encouraged to dress for a special night of theater and dancing.  TZ has requested, in keeping with their policy, no shorts, t-shirts or sneakers.

- How does the food and beverage service work? Teatro Zinzanni has three bars in the lobby (a main central one, and two smaller ‘portable’ bars), all of which will be open before the show starts, during the Dance Break/Intermission, and during the After Party.  In addition, servers will be roving the tent before the show, during the Dance Break/Intermission, and during the After Party as well.

- Can I bring my own food or wine? No.  Teatro ZinZanni is generously making their space available to us at a very reasonable price.  Food and beverage service is their primary revenue source.

- Is dinner included with the show? NO.  Our show is NOT like Teatro ZinZanni’s integrated dinner-and-show, and the substantially lower ticket price reflects this difference.  You’re welcome to eat on your own before coming to the theater, or to purchase food and beverages from TZ’s special-for-us menu (and full bar).  [We'll post the menu as soon as we have a final version from them.]

- Can my friends come join us for the After Party? YES, we’d love to have them!  We’ll probably request a minimal charge at the door – $5 or so – and they’ll need to wait outside or in the lobby until the show is over (roughly 9:45pm).  Entrance to the After Party will be through the back door of the tent, through the parking lot at Pier 27/29.

- We’re coming from out of town – can you recommend a hotel? Teatro ZinZanni has an exclusive partnership with The Handlery Union Square Hotel.  Built in 1928 and located in the heart of San Francisco, The Handlery Union Square Hotel provides the ambience of a European boutique hotel with a high level of San Francisco comfort.  Call 1-800-995-HUSH for details.

- I love what you’re up to – How can I support you? Thank you for asking!  Ticket sales will not be sufficient to cover our expenses for this first premier production – and we have big dreams about taking this show out into the world.  We’d appreciate donations directly through our web site, as well as connections to producers, promoters, and all other likeminded folks.  Email dana@burningopera.com.

- Now that I’ve been inside the tent, I’d love to see Teatro ZinZanni’s show! Great – that’s just the response they hoped you’d have!  TZ’s shows play weekly Thursday through Sunday, and include a five-course gourmet meal.  Check out http://love.zinzanni.org/.

- Where do I find the Low Income Ticket Application? It’s right here on this site!
